Saturday Morning Scene

This morning I'm linking up with Katie over at "Loves of Life" to join in the the fun and share our Saturday Morning Scene.

I realized as I climbed out of bed that Easter is NEXT WEEKEND (I haven't even put my Easter wreath on my front door - what's wrong with me??)!!!  Yikes...I don't have a thing for Addie's easter basket...a few ideas...but nothing in hand.  Panic set in just a little bit...obviously candy is out of the question and thankfully I was way ahead of the game and ordered her Easter Basket from PBK in March, so I at least have that...and it's HUGE by the way (which means I need more to fill it;))  So, I've be perusing Amazon looking for everything I can to fill her basket and thought I'd share what I've found so far:
Plush Cordy Roys Duck
After about our first week of being at home with Addie, we noticed that everytime we put her in a particular fleece sleep n'play that just so happened to have ducks all over it...she would get ANGRY.  I know it was coincidence but started calling her the angry duckie...or duckie for short.  Even sometimes when she started crying in those early days she would make a duck sound.  So, that combined with my love for these JellyCat toys - the material and quality is awesome - made this decision an easy one.  Plus, ducks and Easter kind of go together so, I figured this makes a perfect item to put in her basket.
Melissa & Doug Fishbowl Fill and Spill
Not much of a story with this one - I just think this would be super adorable for her to play with and I love the sea creatures.  I've also gotten just a few Melissa & Doug things before and LOVED them and have always heard people say great things about their quality and affordability.
Boon foam bath toys
Boon is another one of my favorite maker of all things baby and after seeing a special on the new about the mold and mildew that grow in the rubber squirt toys, Addie has been taking her bath sans toys - poor girl - what a boring bath - MOM fail:(  So, I figure these foam pieces will give her something to play with and be easily cleaned so nothing slimy can grow.

Doing all of this course, with my main staple: coffeeeeee....next to me! I'd love to hear any great Easter basket ideas for a 6 month old or if anyone has any reviews of anything I have above (I honestly rely on those Amazon reviews so much when looking for things)  Have a great Saturday!!

Hi BFF - I miss you! Lots and lots!! I hope you are feeling better!

I love this post! It's so funny because I was looking at that fishbowl fill and spill the other day and thought it was just adorable! They also have some cute bath toys at Target by munchkin that don't have any holes or places for mold (they don't squirt) same with Trey's bath books - I just wash them down once a week!

You know I'm all hyped up on (non-starbucks) coffee right now myself! Wheeeee!

Love your easter basket ideas! I'm a big book buyer for my son (13 months old) and Target has some cute easter ones in their $1 sectio. Since he can't get candy, I am filling his eggs with puffs and yogurt melts!!! (even though she might not be able to have yogurt melts, she could do puffs!)

So I was going to recommend those puffs but umm that was a fail for you so I'm out of ideas...I think the little stuff you have is great. I always but sandals and a bathing suit in our Easter baskets and usually a new pair of pj's...and a movie. MAybe. Baby Einstein dvd or something...

What a good mama! I've had my Easter decor up since after St Patty's day but that's where it stopped. By the time I went to order his PBK basket, they were sold out. :( Mom Fail!

Easter is one of my favorite holidays! Baskets are so fun! What about bubbles? I mean, I know she's too young to blow them herself, but they are always fun to pop!

You are on a roll! I have not done a single thing for easter baskets yet and its THIS SUNDAY! Yikes!

I love, love, love Jelly Cats too! They are too cute. I got my girlfriend the gator one for her little girl and tied a bright pink ribbon around its neck to make it more girly. They are huge gator fans. She and the husband loved it.
