May goals

I think I might be just a tad TOO excited about this!
So, I may be a few days late but this post is for me.  Feel free to skip as this is just my personal goals for the month of May with a little bit of commentary thrown in.  I know myself and I know that by letting these little goals that previously only existed in my head out, I have a far better shot at accomplishing them.

1.  Get our flower beds mulched - The hubs and I have been talking about and planning to do this for several weeks now and my flower beds still have faded mulch in them. This HAS to be done this month.

2.  Clean out and organize our guest room - What a disaster this room has been since before Addie was born.  While cleaning out what was to be the nursery (it was previously our home office) this room somehow became the catch-all room for everything we didn't have a place for.  I can't live with this room like this any longer - I practically break my neck everytime I venture in there.

3.  Enjoy EVERY.DAY of the Starbucks happy hour promo - Yep - I'm making it a goal to treat myself to a delicious half price frappuccino everyday between May 6th and the 15th.  And just to spice it up a little bit, I'm going to step out of my comfort zone and try a different flavor each day (yeah, all those ones on the menu I always wondered about - its time to sip and see:))

4.  Go to the gym 3 times a week - As I've said before, I'm easing into this whole "getting back to where I was before" business and I'm really trying not to do a complete 180 right away.  My past experience with myself is that I'm super gung-ho at first and than just like a firework I fizzle out to nothing.  Thats no good - considering I want this to be a permanent change.  So, I joined the gym, I've got the pedometer (with cash incentives for doing well) and now I'm going to make sure I use the gym!

5.  Transition Addie's closet to summer - As much as it breaks my heart to pack away anything knowing that she will never wear it again, those fleece sleep n' plays have no business in her closet!  They are way too hot for our house as the weather warms up and I need the hangers for all of her summer stuff:)

So, there it is...I put it out there...there's no turning back.

You can do it momma! Put those fleece jammies up! Also if you haven't the java chip and caramel fraps are delish!

Awesome! Glad you posted about Starbucks btw. I keep mentally adding things to my "summer project list" - I need to write it all down!

Good luck! I feel your pain about the clothes! I love watching Wyatt grow up, but they tiny days are flying by!

Oh, and I know it's going to be hard to make yourself get a frap each day. :)
You can do it!

Yay! I love that you posted your goals! It has really helped me. I need to do some for may... eek.

And woo hoo for the gym - we are going to be hot mama's in no time!!

And I am so ridiculously excited about your sbux goal. I want pictures and reviews of each please.
I'll share my faves since I used to be a frap-a-holic when I worked at Dom:
Peppermint mocha frap
Raspberry Java Chip frap
Coconut mocha frap (loved from many moons ago but work on the street is that it'll be back soon!)
Caramel with extra caramel sauce frap
And as gross as it sounds, I like that strawberry one (hold the whip)!

Happy Thursday chica!!!!

I have a million trees surrounding my house with a trillion leaves you are welcome to use as mulch. LOL! That's what we do. And good luck at the gym. I was seriously addicted to working out for a month and then the stomachbug hit my house and that was that! :)

My main May goal is to actually get dressed everyday. Makeup and everything. Now, I'm not going to make myself wear jeans/shorts around the house because that's just not comfortable... And I can't function in uncomfortable... but I know I will feel so much better if I look better! ha

I'm so jealous of your starbucks plans. I'd be all over it if we had one nearby!

I need to do a similar list. I have tons of stuff I need to get done but if I don't write it down I'll never do it.

Reading this makes me want to work in our flower beds! I love being outside....but I have no idea where to start with flowers! Knowing me I'd accidentally plant green beans thinking I was growing roses. hahahaha.

What are you? A rep for Starbucks? I never hear about these awesome Starbucks deals. They should pay you for these shout outs. Happy hour hear I come!

I think making a list of goals is the first step to making them happen! You're on the right track!!

The 'bux has a new coconut frap that's pretty good...a nice refreshing change! Let us know about your flavors as you go :)

thank you for the sweet comment. My mom actually made that dress for her. I love it. I told my mom she should make dresses and sell them on etsy.com she's made so many new dresses for the girls.

You've got this! This definitely gave me motivation to get a goal list together. My office is in shambles right now... I think that I need to get rid of some things, because Miss Gwen just seems to accumulate more by the day lol!
